On Sunday four men missing for eight days after Egypt flooded a smuggling tunnel were recovered in the besieged Gaza Strip, as Qassam Brigades’ fighter was announced to have died in a new accident in a resistance tunnel.
Civil defense workers in the besieged Gaza Strip have recovered the bodies of at least three, and possibly all four, men who went missing on Saturday November 26th as a result of Egypt’s army flooding the civilian smuggling tunnel they were in.
The four men were identified as Ali Badawi(43), Imad Badawi(24), Muhammad Badawi(21) and Sami al-Tawil(30).
A wall of water rushing through the tunnel made their escape impossible. Last what was heard of them was one of them shouting “Water! Water!”
A NEW DEADLY ACCIDENT
A new fatal tunnel accident has been also reported, this one happening in a resistance tunnel. Abd al-Rahman Asaad Arafat(24), member of Hamas’ armed wing.
According to conflicting sources, he either died of electrical shock or was buried under rubble when tunnel collapsed on him.
Arafat, from Abasan east of Khan Younis, is said to have died in southern Gaza on Sunday evening.
