Devastating tunnel accidents continue in Palestine’s besieged Gaza Strip, with two members of Hamas’ armed wing dying and two other persons possibly going missing as a result of a tunnel collapse on Wednesday.
The two dead men have been identified as Ismail Abdul Karim Shamali and Rami Mounir al-Are’er from al-Shuja’eya neighborhood, devastated in a massacre committed by occupier Israel during it’s 2014 attack on besieged Gaza.
Rescue work is ongoing to find two other persons who might have been with the men when the tunnel collapse. Contradictory sources put the accident either in eastern or southern part of Gaza Strip.
The current accident brings the number of deaths connected to resistance and smuggling tunnels during the last week and a half to at least 7, with 4 civilian and 3 resistance deaths.
One claim puts the total number of resistance deaths in Gaza’s lifeline tunnels at 26 this year so far.
