IPNOT PICTURE OF THE DAY December 19th 2016: Facing the Winter in Gaza Strip

Two and a half years after Israel began it’s largest large-scale attack on besieged Gaza, leaving 100 000 people homeless, this is how some of the still homeless families in Nahr al-Bared – south of Khan Younis – have to live, facing the cold winter.
What was supposed to be an emergency shelter has become permanent, just like the siege of Gaza Strip has become permanent, like the occupation of Palestine and the exile of the refugees has become permanent as the world watches on idly.
