Israel’s occupation forces had, by Wednesday December 21st, blocked the main entrance to the village of Hizma, situated north of occupied East Jerusalem, for nine days as a collective punishment.
According to the village mayor, Israeli occupation blocked the entrance to punish the villagers for stone throwing by the local youths.
The village, situated between Anata and Jaba on the outskirts of East Jerusalem, is on a major road between northern and western parts of the occupied West Bank. The closure has as a result affected traffic on a large scale as in the area – dotted by illegal Israeli colonies – many alternative roads are already closed to Palestinians.
