Israel’s occupation forces detained seven 15-year-old and one 17-year-old-boy from the West Bank village of Beit Fajjar during a raid on the night of December 20-21st.
Israeli occupation claims that the boys had made and possessed six ‘homemade weapons’ and formed ‘a military cell’.
The ‘homemade weapons’ are made of rusty metal tubes held together by duct tape.
The boys are: Ahmad Muhammad Taqatqa, Ahmad Nidal Taqatqa, Ibrahim Jibril Taqatqa, Iyad Nader Taqatqa, Muhammad Ayman Taqatqa, Radi Salah Taqatqa all aged 15 and Yazan Nabil Deriyeh, aged 17.
Naturally we can’t know if the boys really intended their contraptions to be used against the occupation or if they were just toys or an example of props for juvenile dreams of heroism.
What we are sure is that if intended to be used, these ‘weapons’ would have been a danger only for the boys themselves.
