‘HONEST BROKER’ LAID TO REST AS ISRAEL ANNOUNCES 2500 NEW HOUSING UNITS IN ILLEGAL COLONIES

Today Israel’s regime announced the building of 2500 new illegal housing units in illegal colonies in the occupied territories, which makes at least 3066 new illegal housing units announced since Donald Trump became US president.

Some of the new illegal housing units will be build in the Beit El illegal colony in central part of the occupied West Bank near Ramallah.

This colony, known for its especially extremist illegal settlers, has been in the past funded both by Trump’s son-in-law and now both senior adviser and Middle East representative Jared Kushner and Trump’s pick for new US ambassador to Israel, lawyer David Friedman who opposes the two state solution.

Trump administration has refused to condemn Israel’s move even in the terms used by European Union member countries, which ‘deplore’ the announcement.

The lack of even this meaningless ‘condemnation’ shows that the new US administration doesn’t feel it necessary to distance itself from Israel’s actions even rhetorically.

What this means is that the US foreign policy is now more firmly than ever at the hands of the Israel Lobby – and that the ‘Honest Broker’ is finally laid to rest, decades after it’s death.

“We are building and we will continue to build,” announced beleaguered Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who claims that the illegal housing units are to be build as a response to ‘housing needs’.

Even when ‘Israel’s True Friend’ in the White House doesn’t bother to keep up the fig leaf anymore, Netanyahu still goes through the old routine of excusing the inexcusable.
