An illegal Israeli settler driver hit Suleiman Hamad Salah, a farmer aged 81 or 85 according to different sources, yesterday Wednesday February 8th in the village of al-Khader in the occupied West Bank.
Several other incidents of this nature happened last year in al-Khader – claimed to be hit&run attacks by Palestinians and written off as ‘accidents’ by the occupier Israel.
The illegal Israeli settler, apparently from the nearby illegal colony of Neve Daniel, was using a bypass road build by Israeli occupation for the use of its illegal settlers, and after the incident the illegal settler escaped from the scene on foot, apparently to that illegal colony.
The illegal Israeli settler’s car was traveling at significant speed considering the extensive damage from a collision with frail human flesh and bones.
Eye-witnesses claims that Salah, riding a donkey, was on the side of the road, waiting to cross it and the illegal Israeli settler driver, who was speeding, deliberately changed lane to target and hit him.
Salah was thrown to a ditch beside the road from the force of the impact, his leg torn off. He lived long enough to be taken to a hospital in Awad, where he died.
He was buried late in the same evening.
