IPNOT PICTURE OF THE DAY March 30th 2017: One of Fifty

Our picture of the day for Thursday March 30th 2017 shows a wounded protester shot by Israel’s occupation forces, one of THE tens of thousands taking part in the Land Day marches commemorating the massacre Israel committed in 1976 in Galilee against Palestinian demonstrators trying to protect their remaining lands.
The wounded protester was shot in the village of Madama south of Nablus in the West Bank, where Israel’s occupation forces attacked participants in the local Land Day event with steel-coated rubber bullets and tear gas, wounding 50 with the bullets and causing breathing problems to dozens more.
Among the wounded are the deputy governor of Nablus, Anan al-Atiri, and a leading member of the People’s Party Khalid Mansour.
The protesters’ intention was to plant tree saplings on lands Israeli occupation had confiscated to build the illegal colony of Yitzhar, where only Jewish citizens of the occupier can live.
The moving of own civilian (who often carry guns in this case and take part in attacks on the occupied along with regular military, like the illegal colonists of Yitzhar do) population on occupied territories is a war crime.
