Israel’s occupation forces have today killed 17-year-old Ahmad Zahir Fathi Ghazal in the Old City of Palestine’s East Jerusalem.
The killing happened on the al-Wad street during the mid-afternoon.
Ghazal, from Nablus, is alleged to have ‘stabbed’ and ‘lightly’injured’ two illegal Israeli settlers before he ran away into a nearby building whose door was open. There Israel’s occupation forces’ paramilitary Border Guard would have supposedly been ‘lightly injured’ while ‘struggling’ with him.
When more occupation forces arrived, they shot Ghazal dead. According to an eyewitness, a shop-owner in the same building Ghazal was ‘riddled with bullets’, when the occupation could have easily detained him instead.
Some sources claimed that Ghazal would have ‘stabbed’ occupation soldiers, but photographs show bloody clothing on Haredi men who seem to be, as said, only lightly injured.
Just before the incident Ahmad Ghazal had visited the al-Aqsa mosque compound, taking photographs and putting them up in social media.
In the aftermath Israel’s occupation forces ordered shops closed along the street, detained 20 Palestinians and blocked at least one of the entrances to the Old City.
