YOUNG MAN SHOT IN HEAD ON MONDAY STILL IN CRITICAL CONDITION

Monday saw continued clashes in the occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, with the most serious incidents taking place in the town of Hizma and near the illegal Israeli colony of Beit El on the central part of the occupied West Bank.

On Monday evening Israel’s occupation forces invaded the town of Hizma on the occupied West Bank east of East Jerusalem, and in the following clashes shot a 26-year-old man in head with a rubber-coated steel bullet, critically wounding him.

The wounded man, whose identity is still unknown to us, was taken to a hospital in Ramallah, where he underwent surgery and was said to be in ‘a very serious’ situation medically afterwards.

The last news on him on Tuesday were that he was still in a critical condition.

BIRZEIT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ PROTEST MARCH ATTACKED

Four youths were wounded in their lower limbs by Israel’s occupation forces on Monday
in the central part of the occupied West Bank. They were taking part in a protest against Israel’s attempt to effectively take control of access at the al-Aqsa mosque compound in the occupied East Jerusalem.

Demonstrators led by hundreds of Birzeit university students were marching towards the illegal Israeli colony of Beit El in the Ramallah district, when they were attacked and shot with live bullets by Israeli occupation forces’ soldiers.

The condition of each of the wounded youths was described on Monday to be ‘moderate’.
