Muhammad Fathi Abdul Jaber Kanaan, aged 24-27 according to different sources, was shot in head by Israel’s occupation forces on Monday in the town of Hizma on the occupied West Bank and died of his wounds on Thursday.
It was at first reported that he was shot with a rubber-coated steel bullet, but reports after his death say the bullet was a ‘live’ – normal one. It ‘destroyed’ part of his brain.
He was shot during clashes that followed Israel’s occupation forces’ invasion of Hizma.
Thousands of people took part in his funeral procession, which started at the Ramallah hospital where he died, and took him back to Hizma, on which cemetery he was buried.
It’s claimed that Israeli occupation forces tried and failed to ‘intercept’ the funeral procession.
