Ahmed Dawasheb, now 7, with his maternal grandfather in their home village of Doura exactly two years after the arson attack by illegal Israeli settlers that devastated his family.
The arson attack by illegal Israeli settlers destroyed Ahmed’s home in the village, killing immediately his baby brother Ali and mortally wounding both of his parents, Said and Reham.
Said, who carried Ahmed out, lived a week. Reham survived for a month. Ahmed himself had burns in 60 % of his body and has gone through multiple medical operations afterwards.
A later arson attack targeted the home of the main witness to the attack, who survived it with his family.
Earlier this year Ahmed lost his paternal grandfather, Mohammed Dawasheb.
