IPNOT PICTURE OF THE DAY from June 21st: The Night Of Destiny

On the evening of Tuesday June 21st at least tens of thousands, possibly up to hundreds of thousands, of Palestinian Muslims gathered in and around the al-Aqsa mosque compound in Palestine’s Israeli occupied East Jerusalem to celebrate the Laylat al-Qadr, ”The Night of Destiny’.

According to tradition, ‘The Night Of Destiny’ is the anniversary of prophet Muhammed(c. 570 – 632 CE) receiving the first verses of Koran in 610 CE.

Israel has put up tight restrictions during Ramadan for entry of Palestinians to occupied East Jerusalem from the occupied West Bank, mostly banning boys and men aged 12 to 39 from entering the occupied city.
